deskI'm Eran Duchan, a self taught 29 year old from Tel Aviv, Israel. For the better part of the last ten years, I've worked on networking systems - some small (telephony enabled cable modems) and some huge (a carrier grade multi-service switch for cellular backhaul networks). I use C++ heavily at work, designing most of the systems for maintainability and scalability rather than focusing on squeezing every last MIPS.

Today, after managing the embedded software division and writing most of the code, I work at home on the cellular backhaul switch I designed and implemented alongside a few colleagues in 2004. The project is rich in software features, DSPs, proprietary hardware and complex network processors. Very fun.

About 5 years ago I operated the previous iteration of pavius.net, after moonlighting heavily with PIC16s and PIC18s - it hosted a pretty popular LCD simulator and quite a few drivers for PIC peripherals and devices. Today I am interested in the hardware aspects of embedded systems, teaching myself electronics and publishing articles/tools I think will be useful for the embedded folk.

If you have any questions, bug reports or just want to shout profanities at me (I'm used to it) - contact me.
